The Mothers’ Union

All Saints branch of the Mothers’ Union (founded 1876) was established by Canon Arthur Drummond in 1899, it is a world-wide Christian organisation with over a million members, and with concern for families in 65 countries. Originally a meeting place for Christian mothers, it now welcomes anyone who has been baptised in the Christian faith.

Mission Statement

The Mothers’ Union is a Christian organisation which promotes the well-being of families world-wide. We achieve this by:

  • Developing prayer and spiritual growth in families
  • Studying and reflecting on family life and marriage and their place in society
  • Resourcing our members to take practical action to improve conditions for families, both nationally and in the communities in which they live

Meetings

Our branch meets at 2.30pm every 2nd Wednesday in the month in the Parish Centre.

The Mothers’ Union Prayer

Loving Lord, we thank you for your love so freely given to us all.
We pray for families around the world.
Bless the work of the Mothers’ Union as we seek to share your love through the encouragement, strengthening, and support of Marriage and family life.
Empowered by your Spirit, may we be united in prayer and worship, and in love and service, reach out as your hands across the world.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen

Important Mothers’ Union News Today (Sunday 19th) at 11.30am in the Birinus Room It has been decided to hold a short emergency Committee Meeting after this morning’s 10.00am Eucharist Service to discuss plans for our December meeting which will be on the 6th not the 13th December. Due to difficulties with transport, this was felt to be the most convenient arrangement. Even if you are not a committee member, you will be welcome. Margaret Hill/Wendy Channon.
