Dryads Duo Violin and Piano Recital

The Dryads Duo complete their series of lunchtime recitals at All Saints Church on October 28th 2026. They will have played all 10 of Beethovens piano and violin sonatas and this recital will be Sonatas No 8, 9, and 10. The Sonata No.8 in G major was written when Beethoven was contending with the onset of his deafness. Despite the personal trauma this disability must have caused, the music is cheerful and witty. No.9, nicknamed the Kreutzer, is a much bigger work more appropriate for stage performances than intimate chamber music. Finally No.10 conveys an introspective and calm mood. The. Recitals are free of charge but donations at the end of the recital to help defray expenses will be welcome.
